This family-friendly Day of the Dead Celebration features performances and altars by local artists. Following the performance, take time to view the altars and enjoy refreshments. You are welcome to bring photos or mementos of loved ones to place on a shared altar during the festivities.

Participating artists include visual artists Julie Chen, Emily Collins, Annette Dragon, Dina Noto, Cielo Ornelas MacFarlane, and Tina Starr; musicians Bonnie Abrams, and Kristie and Brian Barr; and dancers Laura D’Amico, Nanako Horikawa Mandrino, Laurie MacFarlane, and Ruben T. Ornelas.

According to organizer and performer Ruben T. Ornelas, “Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday, but many cultures have similar customs to honor and remember their loved ones. By coming together to share memories, stories, and traditions, we can all joyfully celebrate our deceased friends and family.”
