About The Event

Major Barbara, presented by Classics Theater of Rochester

by George Bernard Shaw

Director Roger Gans

Shaw's dark comedy, set in 1905 London, concerns the family of a munitions magnate, an odd inheritance and the inherent conflicts of an estranged family, particularly with his daughter, Major Barbara, and her philanthropic work at the Salvation Army.

About the show (long description) This is our sixth George Bernard Shaw production with our growing company of experienced performers. Why travel to Canada to see a few one acts when you can see a full production of quality Shaw right here in Rochester at a very reasonable price?
