Tired of them telling you to "have fun up there!"? Well, guess what - Fun is a technique, and Play is a muscle... so let's get swole.   There is a beautiful game in everything we do, so let’s revel in our successes, and succeed in our failures, as Clowns do best.  In this 3-hour workshop, led by Isaac Kessler, we’re going to explore Le Jeu/Clown-based gameplay, audience connection, devising, LeCoq-based movement, energy, musicality, rhythm and more - all with Creative Play© in mind (...and body). It’s kind of like school … but just the recess part.   Open to adults ages 18+ with any level of experience.

Isaac Kessler has been performing, devising, writing, directing, and producing comedic theatre for over 18 years. He is a Canadian Comedy Award multi-nominee as Best Male Improviser and as one half of the award-winning ClownProv juggernaut 2-MAN NO-SHOW alongside his comedic soulmate, Ken Hall. 

They have performed at over 50 comedy & theatre festivals over the last 15 years. 

Isaac is also the creator of his solo tour-de-force, 1-MAN NO-SHOW. With direction by Sweet Action Theatre’s Gordon Neill, 1-MAN NO-SHOW won the Artists’ Pick Award at the Edmonton International Fringe Festival - North America’s largest theatre festival.  Isaac is a multi-award-winning director/deviser of five Clown/Bouffon shows with more in development, and has spent the past 13 years training in Clown, Mask, Idiot Work, Bouffon, and LeCoq-based Physical Theatre. He has performed his solo work all over North America. 

He’s appeared in various TV shows and music videos, including CANADA’S GOT TALENT, and features in a bunch of funny commercials in the U.S. & Canada.  Isaac is a primary instructor and co-founder at Sweet Action Theatre’s Ridiculous Institute of Funny, a brand new curriculum focusing on Creative play and Devised Theatre.  His voice is also pretty cool. He’s been listened to over 40 millions times on YouTube’s Dodo Kids Channel!
